At the time of this story, Xavier is stuck in the crossroads of adulthood and adolescence.
Xavier likes many people his age but feels he is alone in his pursuit of romance, career, and self-discovery. His past trauma of being bullied and alienated his whole life adds to the daily challenges that he is facing. When we meet out character, he is close to losing his one real friend, Maxwell, who is on the verged of moving in with his longtime girlfriend.
